The State Public Service Commission (SPSC) is a constitutional body in each Indian state responsible for conducting examinations and recruitment for appointments to the state civil services and other state government posts. It functions under the provisions of Article 315 to 323 of the Indian Constitution.
Each state has its own SPSC (e.g., MPSC for Maharashtra, UPPSC for Uttar Pradesh), and the commission ensures fair selection, advises the state government on matters related to promotions, transfers, and disciplinary actions.
Functions of SPSC:
- Conduct exams for state-level services (like Tehsildar, Deputy Collector, etc.)
- Advise on recruitment rules
- Handle disciplinary matters
- Advise on promotions and transfers

राज्य लोकसेवा आयोग (State Public Service Commission – SPSC) ही भारतीय राज्यघटनेनुसार स्थापन केलेली घटनात्मक संस्था आहे. प्रत्येक राज्यात ही संस्था कार्यरत असते आणि ती राज्यस्तरीय शासकीय सेवांसाठी परीक्षा घेणे व भरती प्रक्रिया पार पाडणे हे मुख्य कार्य करते.
ही आयोग भारतीय राज्यघटनेच्या अनुच्छेद ३१५ ते ३२३ अंतर्गत स्थापन करण्यात आली आहे.
उदाहरणार्थ, महाराष्ट्रासाठी महाराष्ट्र लोकसेवा आयोग (MPSC) कार्य करते.
SPSC ची कार्ये:
- राज्यसेवेच्या परीक्षा घेणे (उदा. तहसीलदार, उपजिल्हाधिकारी इ.)
- भरतीसंदर्भातील नियमांबाबत सल्ला देणे
- पदोन्नती, बदल्या आणि शिस्तभंग यावर सल्ला देणे
